Who are the people who hated the righteous?
Proverbs 10:28-29
New International Version (NIV)
See:
www.biblegateway.com
28 The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.
29 The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless,
but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
but it is the ruin of those who do evil.
Kawikaan 10:28-29 (Tagalog)
Magandang Balita Biblia (TPV)
The door says “PULL” but people tend to push
it anyway, they have read the sign but ignored it and do their
own thing to their own pleasure and when someone remind us that what we did was
wrong, we tend to hate the person who
corrected us.
Why?
Do we like our hopes came to nothing because we
are wicked? (verse 28)
Should
we hate the people who are righteous because we admit we are evil? (verse 29)
The door says “PULL” but still they push it.
There would be a time that someone would get hurt by this
and violators can either hurt themselves or other people.
If the door is our
life and God instructed us to pull ourselves out of sins… shouldn’t we follow
it?
Let us keep our
DOORS in the right path…
So don’t PUSH it, OK?
Let us pray…
Our Father God in heaven, Thank you so much for all
the blessing we received today. Forgive us, Lord, if there are times that we do
not listen. We want our hopes to happen and we seek joy in our lives. Teach us
to love You more and may we find in our hearts to follow you at all times.
Should we be corrected by You and our brethren or fellowmen, may our minds be
broad to understand and ask forgiveness rather than hate. Deliver us from evil,
Lord. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Nice one, Glenda. Be blessed! :)
TumugonBurahinThanks, Meikah.God bless!
BurahinYes, I can quite relate. Sometimes, we can easily get hurt because we were corrected. That is pride, it's hard to admit that we were wrong. But if we really ponder on the event and to why we were corrected, we can somehow appreciate that person who corrected us.
TumugonBurahinTurning against the person who corrected us makes us evil as mentioned in verse 29. It is really good to ponder on the event...tama ka. Acceptance and changing to be better is one way to appreciate rather than make a move to make ourselves right. :)
BurahinNice post again Glenda. I've learned that pride and being righteous will bring me to nowhere so I always do a self check to make sure that I don't offend other people with my attitude.
TumugonBurahinok lang ang righteous, wag lang siguro ang self righteous. Also if we are for the Lord, I feel "pride" would be erased in our hearts kahit pa little by little, then LOVE would take over then humility and so on..
BurahinGreat post! I always make sure that I'll do the right thing and what best for everybody.:)
TumugonBurahinAmen!
BurahinVery well put together. I've just gone through a situation that relates to this, and I am glad that posts like these inspire me. :)
TumugonBurahinGod bless!
Burahinsometimes people should "push" it to get what they aspire...like freedom and sovereignty
TumugonBurahinHmmm..that is a different point of view.We cannot push ourselves to sin to gain freedom and sovereignity..perhaps this is a different story na.
BurahinMost of the people kasi mapride. So when they are corrected sumasama ang loob nila. Meron talaga tayo who is not open to criticism kahit pa it's for their own goods. It will take a while for them to realize it's for their improvement.
TumugonBurahinSad to say ... ganoon na nga. We would only realize practicing humility if we come to God and accept that we are not perfect and need to be cleansed and corrected.
BurahinPride is something which makes one want to rebel It can be so hard to be humble but once achievable it will make you a better person.
TumugonBurahinTrue. God bless!
BurahinA person who's open to be corrected is usually the person who learns more in life. Humility and having a teachable spirit are the things we need to cultivate.
TumugonBurahinAmen! :)
Burahini agree, there are some people na mas pinapairal ang pride nila when they are corrected. i'm sure they somehow know naman that it's for their own sake din yun. i hope those people would realize how to be humble in situations like this.
TumugonBurahinI hope too...God bless! :)
BurahinLessons learned.. I always PUSH the door even it says PULL, maybe because I chose the easiest way and it's wrong. :( thanks for the reminder!
TumugonBurahinTrue yan! thanks for reflecting the message personally. God bless!
Burahini will always admire people who own up to their mistakes and aren't too proud to be corrected. that shows how willing they are to change for the better. nice lesson you have here in this blog post. :)
TumugonBurahinYes, Rose. We also need to reflect this on ourselves..perhaps you would realize later..there are many people that admire you too.
BurahinI also do the same. Especially with push and pull doors.
TumugonBurahinSometimes, it is really confusing because most of us had the tendency to "push" all doors...we need to take cautions.
BurahinThank you for sharing another food for the soul; a reminder that we always need to open our minds and hearts, even to opinions that can hurt us.
TumugonBurahinWelcome, Lady Anne. We need to take cautions.
BurahinWonderfully written!
TumugonBurahinTo God be the glory!
Burahinanother great post Glenda, i try my best to do the right thing although not always.. i am just a human who make mistake
TumugonBurahinRosemarie/Gven-Rose
We all are human who makes mistakes... but accepting that we are not perfect make us humble and I see that you are. God bless!
Burahin"keep our doors in the right path..." it is a great reminder to me
TumugonBurahinthanks
Amen!
BurahinI hope that people would follow instructions, most importantly, God's instructions. I wish we were doing according to God's will, even the dreams that we're following.
TumugonBurahin"Even the dreams that we're following" that is a great reminder to share, Sis. It made me think and analyze if I follow a dream that is according to God's will.
Burahininspiring indeed! sometimes we need to be humble enough to accept our faults and mistakes :)
TumugonBurahinAmen!
BurahinThank you for sharing inspirational thoughts, and very timely as I am reading this on a Monday! Perfect thoughts to start the work week!
TumugonBurahinAmen! Have a great week, Marie! God bless!
BurahinI do not hate the righteous but I do not like the self-righteous. I believe we are sinners and no one is above another person.
TumugonBurahinTrue! God bless!
BurahinTrue. I've been guilty of that a lot of times before because I was a victim of pride. The analogy of push and pull is very simple but realistic!
TumugonBurahin:) God bless, Marie!
Burahinpride often gets the best of us and this becomes our downfall. human nature is to be defensive when our attention is called... it takes a lot to practice humility but it can be done.
TumugonBurahinAmen!
BurahinAnother great post sis! Thanks for sharing!
TumugonBurahinWelcome Janz! To God be the glory!
