THE BLESSING OF THE LORD

Let’s Shop Together!

Both employees came out of their “Boss” office receiving their pay checks. Both looking at their pay check, Employee One noticed the other has much higher pay.

Employee Two: Shrugged. “Well, I don’t have to work as hard as you do and keep an “eyebag” like you. All we need is to have is strategy. Come, Let’s shop together!” he smiled, winked and smirked after looking at One’s paycheck which is way too small than he received.

They went shopping together with their families. Employee One family did not buy much but the satisfaction it gave to Employee One was enough to make his face glow with happiness seeing how happy his family is carrying all the things they need but Employee Two looked bothered as he looked at his family happily buying a lot of things.

Six month’s later.

Both employees came out of their “Boss” office each receiving two white envelope. Employee One notice that employee Two had bigger “eye bag” than he had now and looked bothered.

Employee Two: “What did you got?”

Employee One: “I got two checks, one is my salary with overtime. I received our 13th month pay and Christmas incentive-bonus too… Let’s shop together! It is fun to see how we can provide for the needs of our family with these blessings…What did you got?”

Employee Two: “My final pay check and a letter of termination… I did not know that he was aware that I had been sleeping with his cashier to have a bigger check.  I can’t shop with you anymore… I never had fun in spending this money in anyway. I should have listened to my conscience that had been bugging me for a long time.”

Let us pray…

Our Father God in heaven, Thank you for the blessing we received. We know that our hard and honest work would be blessed in time. It is indeed a peaceful life knowing that what we received came from good. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Lesson Learned:

Knowing the real blessing from the Lord is easy...our conscience tells it so.
