Do we have the courage to admit our own mistakes?
Proverbs 10:6
Blessings crown the head of the
righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

Biblia:
Kawikaan 10:6
Ang matuwid
ay mag-aani ng pagpapala’t kabutihan,
ngunit ang bibig ng masama ay nagtatakip ng
karahasan.
Personal Application:
“I don’t know.”...after saying that, I would feel a kick
in my chest and my stomach would start paining by uttering those words to cover
up a mistake or tends to lie. I used to think that a person should manage to do
something
exemplary in order to be accepted, gain kindness and respect from
other people no matter what it cost up to the extent of even covering up
some weaknesses or problem which is considered a lie… in the end I gained
nothing and failed.
Yes, I admit…I also lied. Fortunate are those who are not.
Perhaps, they would look like gleaming white linen in the eyes of our Heavenly
Father and I envy them because I am spotted linen…perhaps a dirty one. But God is working on my cleansing.
Now I know, it is not the outstanding work that would let us
be respected…it is not the completion of the task that would gain kindness and
acceptance but it is HOW we manage
to be outstanding or completed and the only way to reach such level is to be
honest and do the right thing. We have to admit our own mistakes in order to be
corrected immediately. We also need to accept corrections nicely because no
human is perfect. We need to understand that other people had weaknesses too.
We must have the courage to accept our own weaknesses and admit to ourselves
that we need help. Should I tell my own shortcomings? Once asked, YES! Nothing is hidden in the eyes of the Lord and keeping sins means failure. Being able to ask sincere forgiveness and doing all we can not to repeat the same mistake is the best.
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Forgive me. I am wrong. It is my wickedness
to say things to cover up for wrong doings. May it be to cover my own
weaknesses or to cover up other people’s mistakes. Forgive me, Lord. I don't want to be wicked. I want to
be cleansed and be able to do the right thing and follow Your will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Lesson Learned:
Be true to ourselves and to others.
i also lie sometimes...parang palipas lang after several days sasabihin ko rin, di makatiis...hahaha
