A Little Sharing: Walking With The Angel

Three o'clock in the morning. The road to our village was dark and filled with resting cows and  furious barking dogs from the neighborhood taking their duty to guard their master's place or some were simply flocking by. My eldest son arrived at the village entrance from work...

He was calling my and his father's cellphone but none of us were able to answer. We were sound asleep. There were no single tricycle arriving since the time was so idle.

My eldest decided to start walking home. It was not a short walk. He would need to walk more than a kilometer to reach the entrance of our block.

After a few meters he stopped. He saw the flocking furious dogs he would need to pass by...he hesitated since some were already barking and not a single human being was there to even assist or be with him at that moment.

Afraid of getting bitten by those dogs he prayed.

After a while, a resting big cow near my son stood up and started walking and passed by him slowly. He does not know but it seems that the cow was urging him to walk with him and he did. The cow went walking in the middle of the street slowly as if it was waiting for him to get by and walk side by side.

As they walk together, my son said he saw all the dogs flee upon seeing the cow. Not a single dog had ever thought of getting near them. Even the brave barking dog went away silently. My eldest son felt safety.

It was amazing that the cow walked side by side with him more than a kilometer until they reached the entrance of our block. My son even joked that he would have talked with the cow while they were walking "he was only afraid that it might talk back!" hehehehe

Upon reaching the entrance to our block my son needs to leave the main road and turn to the right to head home, it was then the cow turn to the others side slowly. It is if the cow said. "You are safe now, I will go on my way."

My son can not forget that experience and I could not thank God enough how HE had taken care of him.
I know God sent an Angel to walk with my son at that moment so that he can be safe and comfortable.

****
This experience made me believe that in the course of our lives, God is sending an angel to take care of us, to give us comfort, makes us happy and keep us safe.
It could be in a form of a friend, a colleague, a boss, son, daughter, husband, wife, a bird, a fish, a dog, cow or whatever God had decided upon.
I thank the Lord GOD for sending angels or possibly it could be HIM himself in disguise.

To GOD be the Glory!!!

I was teary eyed upon reading your post, but I chuckled at the part where your son was almost at the verge of talking with the cow but afraid that it might talk back. :-)

    1. hehe...I was not able to stop my self from laughing when my son said that. I can't imagine my son talking with the cow. It would be a real shock if that cow talk back. I imagined my son running faster than Lydia De Vega if that happens. :)
