Do you have a plan or project?

Proverbs 11:14

14 For lack of guidance a nation falls,
but victory is won through many advisers.
New International Version (NIV)

Kawikaan 11:14 (Tagalog)
Magandang Balita Biblia (TPV)
14 Sa kakulangan ng tuntunin ang bansa ay bumabagsak, ngunit sa payo ng nakararami, tagumpay ay tiyak.

Do you have a plan or project?

We have done so many projects in our company and even in our personal life.

As I have observed, the involvement of the majority is one of the factor that makes a project work or successful.

One project I observed is 5S. Implementing 5S in a workplace is not easy. It requires a lot of discipline by 100% of the people in the workplace. It does not only require the participation of the supervisory level and the labor force but most of all… by the management.

The complete understanding of a project is very important. Rules must be created by not only one or two or three people but by the majority who in turn would seriously commit to its implementation.

Planning for a family outing, it is most enjoyable if the majority of the family members had their share of opinion with regards to the destination, the food to be brought, the mode of transportation and the accommodations.

This Christmas, for sure, we are going to have plans and celebrations. It is best to ask each and every one in our family and take their opinions and advises into considerations for before going to markets for the creation of menu or location where the celebration would be held in remembering that Jesus Christ was born in this day for us.

  6. I forgot about the 5s already. I was in Globe when this things were being implemented. Choosing between plan or project, I plan. And once we're ready for it, it becomes a project :)

  7. A plan will become successful if everyone has a say in it. All will surely enjoy if they agree on the planned endeavor. And like Jhari, I remember 5s, too when we were still working in Globe. It's always been implemented and everyone is very disciplined to follow. :-)

  8. I've been a planner for most of my life, and one of the struggles I've had is to "Let go and let God." Today, I still plan but I ask God to bless my plans. Parang hindi pa rin letting go, no? Pero I can't help it! :D

  10. Yes. In the hospital, we now have a major project and definitely, this would not work out unless management and staff would work hand in hand for its success. Just last night, I talked to my 17 year old son and he was sharing his own personal life plan and goals. I was happy that he set it himself because , then, it will be more doable. I reminded him about the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to know if he is on the right track.

  12. I learned about 5S in my previous job. Another plan that we need is a disaster plan.

  13. We also have 5S in the office but maintaining it is a tough job. So usually naglilinis lang mga tao sa office pag may audit.

  16. having a plan makes things a lot easier to handle. and it's always advisable to have alternatives in case the master plan is not feasible. :)

  17. I agree with this one. The success of a project does not only rely on a particular person but with the support of others. I just hope the 5S will be implemented again.
