Weighing It

Weighing is not only done to any of material things and the scales were not the only unit we use to weigh.

If we are business people, we have to sell our products with exact weight as written on the label of our product packaging.

For us who gives services, let us give our services well. Let us smile to all our customers no matter what age or race they are. Let us treat everybody well and with courtesy.

For us mothers, let us use our heart's fair weighing scale on our children. NO FAVORITISM please!

We really have a lot to weigh in our life. We weigh every situation, of  what is between good and bad, our emotions or judgement. Let God be the pole of our scales to have it calibrated at all times...So that we may not cheat.  Yes, we do cheat on weighing things out!.. if we want to give favor to something or someone... but God would not be pleased if we do this. Let us be fair and try our best to be...for our children, for our family, for our friends, colleagues, business partners, others and most of all...ourselves.

Lets us pray.

Our Dear Father in Heaven, we give praises to Your Holy Name. We thank You for all the blessings you bestowed upon us. We humbly submit ourselves unto you, Lord God...and raise our hearts and minds so that You would be the center of our lives and our hearts. May you be the pole to balance our scale of life that we may give fair judgment to all...so that we may share our love in accordance to Your will. May we give the exact service and pour what is enough for others and ourselves. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

  1. Yes, a lot of things to weigh and we also must be careful about being fair and just. It's not always easy to be so. Sometimes, no matter how good the intention, we are still bound by our biases and these tend to tip the scale.

  4. Yeah, as parents, we should always try to be fair and free of prejudices. The effect of this to our children is crucial. :)

  7. indeed, we have to keep a balance of things... and really so difficult at times. As for my only son, no need to worry about favoritism, but, i try so hard to keep the balance for him to be comfortable but not be spoiled! For the Zamboanga Crisis, we really had a heavy problem of balancing giving service while worrying for the security of the staff inside the hospital... of giving service to the indigent but still knowing when to refer back to the government hospital ... so as not to incur too much loss!

  8. I agree with this one especially for parents to be balanced with their kids. However, we cannot please anybody, whatever we do not to favor some of our kids, they wills till have the perception that we are favoring one of them.
